Healthy Banana and Oat Breakfast Slice

This quick and easy recipe is gluten-free, dairy-free, kid-friendly and makes the perfect grab and go breakfast or snack. It's made with simple, wholesome and delicious ingredients that you probably have in your kitchen and the only added sugar is from dark chocolate chips. Grab the kids and try this recipe today!

Ingredients

  • 2 spotty bananas, mashed

  • 1 and 1/2 cups rolled oats

  • 1 cup oat flour (blended oats)

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 2 TSP baking powder

  • 2 TSP ground cinnamon

  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips (70% cocoa +)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C and line a square dish with baking paper.

  2. Combine everything but the chocolate chips in a large bowl and mix well.

  3. Fold in the chocolate chips and pour into the prepared dish.

  4. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top and bake for 25-30 minutes.
