Think a nutty, date, biscuit crust, that's filled with a decadent dark chocolate and nut butter filling (imagine healthy nutella) and topped with some extra dark chocolate and slivered almonds. 😍 It's easy to make, incredibly creamy and the smallest slice will satisfy any chocolate cravings! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

INGREDIENTS

  • For the crust

    • 1/2 cup almonds

    • 1/2 cup oats

    • 1/2 cup pecans

    • 1/2 cup shredded coconut

    • 1/3 cup coconut oil

    • 5-6 fresh dates, pitted

    • pinch of Himalayan salt

    For the chocolate filling

    • 1/2 cup cacao powder

    • 1/4 cup almond or peanut butter

    • 1/4 cup maple syrup

    • 1/4 cup of coconut oil

    • 4 TBSP of tahini

    For the topping:

    1. 70g melted dark chocolate

    2. slivered almonds and shredded coconut (optional)

METHOD

  1. To make the crust, place all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until they come together 1-2mins. Using your hands, spread the mixture evenly inside 1 round baking dish lined with baking paper. Press the crust down firmly, ensuring it’s evenly spread. Place the dish in the freezer to set.

  2. Next, prepare the chocolate filling. Melt the coconut oil, if it is not already melted. Once melted, combine the oil and remainning filling ingredients in the food processor and blend to form a creamy texture.

  3. Take the tart crust out of the freezer and pour in the filling. Once filled, put the tray back in the fridge to set.

  4. For the topping, pour over melted dark chocolate once the filling has set and decorate the tart with the slivered almonds and shredded coconut.

  5. Enjoy!
